The Association "Search and Rescue Dogs – Bulgaria" is a non-governmental organization, registered for public benefit under the Law on Non-Profit Legal Entities.

Our mission is to establish favorable conditions for the affirmation, development, and promotion of rescue dog training in Bulgaria. As members of the Bulgarian National Canine Federation (BNCF), we follow the guidelines of internationally recognized organizations such as the International Search and Rescue Dog Organization (IRO) and the International Canine Federation (FCI).

С гордост можем да обявим, че сме част и от Националната асоциация на доброволците в Република България. В последните години се наблюдават редица случаи, в които има нужда от намесата на обучени кучета за спасителна дейност. За съжаление този вид спасяване все още не е добре интегриран в единната система на страната. Надяваме се, че заедно ще успеем да преодолеем този пропуск.

Our primary goal is to build a capacity of trained handlers and dogs that have successfully passed exams to meet the international standards of IRO and FCI. These teams assist in the development of the sport and also participate in real-life search and rescue operations for people buried under rubble, lost in open areas, or caught in avalanches.

Членовете на нашата организация са участвали в множество издирвателни акции за изчезнали хора, както в годините с Планинска спасителна служба, така и в тясно сътрудничество с Аварийно-спасителен отряд към община Перник и ОД на МВР – Перник.

В организацията ни заедно със своите кучета членуват хора с различни професии, сред които Планински спасители към ПСС при БЧК, служители на Дирекция „Аварийна помощ и превенция” при Столична община, Лекари, Доброволци с различни професии, както и служители от ПБЗН към МВР.

The Association is dedicated to utilizing the dog's sense of smell in its work. Training search and rescue dogs is a priority for the organization.

Сдружението е доброволна организация за търсене и спасяване при спешни случаи, занимаваща се с обучение, оценка с помощта на външни сертифицирани оценители и световно признати специалисти в областа за търсене и спасяване с кучета и участие на кучета за търсене и спасяване в международни изпити и в реални мисии за изгубени/изчезнали хора. Нашите екипи, които се състоят от водач и куче, търсят навсякъде в България и са ефективни в планини, гори, селски и градски райони, водни площи и морски брегове, както и при локализиране на жертви при инциденти или бедствия и затрупани от лавини.

Additionally, the Association aims to develop the sport of search and rescue with dogs in Bulgaria according to the standards of the FCI and IRO. The sport, taking into account the high international criteria and requirements, supports the preparation, training, certification, and effectiveness of the dogs in emergencies and crisis situations.

All dogs, their handlers, assistants, and supporters work voluntarily for the cause and do not receive payment for their participation in missions or training. To support our dogs, as well as to improve our training base and skills, we raise funds through
