Who are we

The Association "Search and Rescue Dogs – Bulgaria" is a non-governmental organization, registered for public benefit under the Law on Non-Profit Legal Entities.

Our mission is to create favorable conditions for the establishment, development, and popularization of rescue canine activities in Bulgaria. As members of the Bulgarian National Canine Federation (BNFC), we adhere to the regulations of recognized organizations in this field, including the IRO – International Search and Rescue Dog Organization and the FCI – International Canine Federation.

Missions

The well-trained dogs and handlers of SAR DOGS BG are ready for immediate response in emergency situations and participation in search and rescue missions.

Our teams, consisting of a handler and a dog, operate throughout Bulgaria and are effective in mountains, forests, rural and urban areas, water bodies and sea shores, and terrains that are inaccessible and dangerous for humans. They are also skilled in locating victims in incidents or disasters and those buried by avalanches.

Since its inception, teams from the Association have participated in several missions in the cities of Pernik, Radomir, Dupnitsa, Haskovo, and others.
